How to Attach Sliding Glass Track??

drdoolittle Jun 25, 2004 04:17 PM

I know I saw a post about this but I searched the forums and couldn't come up with it. I'm doing sliding glass doors on the front of my cage and I've already got the plastic track from Rockler.com but I need advice on how to attach it to the top of the litter dam. Does everyone just use a good adhesive/glue or do you screw it in/use brads, etc? The two doors will each be about 38" wide by 23" tall. Thanks!!

I have used silicone, hot glue (yellow) and Liquid Nails. I like liquid nails the best.

I believe you can see pictures of this on the cage building portion of the Fine GTP's site. I think the URL has changed so look it up in google.

Scroll down to read/see the glass track being installed.

Note that he only recommends nails to hold the track in place while the liquid nails drys. You can do the same with masking tape.
