This forum works because experienced people (who started out Inexperienced) are willing to answer questions. If you discourage (insult) people for asking questions, they won't be there to share their experience for the next rookie. Getting your own morbid satisfaction from anonymously abusing innocent people messes this forum up for the rest of us. Maybe you should think about apologizing Echo0330???
I have never had any experiance with putting up background before. I didn't know if there was a certain type of adhesive that was generally used. We are going to be putting it on the glass as well as the wood. I do not appreciate being belittled for asking for advice. Isn't that the reason this forum was designed?

You're right and right and no one ever did address your need.
If you're looking for a permanant method of attaching to wood or glass use spray contact cement. You'll spray this onto both the back ground and the surface you're attaching it to. You'll also need a sprayer bottle and a squegee. You can make a disposable squegee from a plastic milk jug or the like. In the sprayer bottle put in water and several drops of dish washing liquid. Once both surfaces have been sprayed with the contact cement then spray the surface you're attaching to with the sprayer bottle. This will keep the glue from adhering while you position the background. Once positioned use the squegee to squeeze out the excess water and the background will adhere. Don't worry if you don't get it to set solid right away the water will evaporate and the background will be solidly secured.
A more temporary method would be to cut and fit to the glass and secure from behind with tape. I prefer the wide packing tape to regular scotch tape. Use double stick carpet tape for the plywood. Personally I think the contack cement gives a better adhesion.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your courteous reply. Our dragon cage is a 6 foot long custom enclosure made of wood and glass. We were looking for the best overall appearance and adhesion. This should work great. Thanks again.
