I have 2 corns. One an amel and one a ghost. From what my friend tells me the amel is a female and my ghost is a male. (Bought him from Kathy Love at a reptile show so pretty sure he is a HE. My amel bought at Petco.)
Both are at least a year and a half. Ghost is easily 3 feet and Amel is about 30 inches. Both are pretty calm with handling. Eat well. My question is my ghost seems much more active/restless then my amel.
I house them each in 20 gallon long tanks. I have read this size of enclosure will be ok for the life of the snake. But my ghost seems to want out all the time.
Could he just be "looking" for her? Or hungry?(I feed them F/T every 7-10 days. 1 adult mouse each) Or wanting a bigger enclosure? I have a 40 gallon breeder size tank but no where to put it. Also when I handle the amel then the ghost he is like 'smelling' my hands. I wasn't going to breed snakes but was wondering if I should...if that is what he wants. Anyone with any thoughts on the matter...Thanks.
