If anyone has an adult albino rat, I was wondering if the albinos maintain their pattern as they age, or does it fade, as with the normal black rat. Just bought one about 2yrs old, beautiful snake.

The pattern will most likely fade quite a bit. Mine has mostly faded posteriorly, but maintains a fair amount of pattern towards her anterior. I imagine that there is a fair amount of variation, with some losing most of their pattern and others maintaining a fair amount. Beautiful snakes at all stages, though. Enjoy. Duffy

Some are very pale w/ a more defined darker pattern & some have a barely visible pattern. Some of the darker Albinos retain quite a bit of their pattern...........
