Orange Granites... pics inside!

Oz Jun 25, 2004 09:14 PM

This is a pic of a cool orange granite I have. Ian Gniazdowski (Outback Reptiles) was kind enough to bless me with a nice CH pair this year. He has hatched out some killer orange granites and It appears that this morph is a Co-dom trait.

Working with stuff like this is big fun! Any others out there with these animals?

I guess not from their line since they are CH, but you said some were hatched out and appear to be co-dom, so are there any pics of the parents? I have five eggs due to hatch in early August and another clutch to be laid in a few days fathered by a very dark granite male. I haven't seen an adult female that looks like him, so I'm always curious. Thanks!

Here's a bad digital pic and a scanned pic. It's not easy to get a good picture of the pattern and color when they are so dark. I have some new ones in the camera, but I have to use up the rest of the film. I know I've posted these before - sorry if I'm boring anyone! I'm wondering if the orange ones you showed will keep that color... very nice!

This is not an adult, but probably a yearling wc Granite Female picked up this past Feburary from Ian. She is doing well and she is dark, but not what I would consider a melanistic type!
Enjoy

I also picked this little lady up from Ian last month! She is doing well for me and sorry about the picture, didn't turn out too well. We have had rain and its overcast so this is from inside today! Enjoy!
