Anyone going to Daytona this year?.....more

Hoppy Jun 25, 2004 09:56 PM

I just reserved a room at the Adams Mark for Friday and Saturday Night during the Expo for the Wife and I. We had to pay extra for the room because the "Block" of rooms set aside for the expo is sold out, so instead of paying $99.00 per night, we had to pay $132.00 for the first night and $165.00 for the second (with AAA discounts LOL) Oh well I guess that is what I get for waiting this long to reserve the room. So if you are not going because you were told they were sold out, ask about rooms outside the Expo block, you will pay more for them, but at least you will still be at the heart of the action. Let me know who is going, i would like to meet some of the people that I talk/write with LOL
See ya there

The IHS meeting is in Daytona a few days before the Breeders convention.

I am going to do my best to make it. I missed it last year due to the large power outage in NY I got stuck up there just long enough to miss it. I will have to work that Saturday and will try to drive down that night to get there Sunday morning from Atlanta so will take me a good amount of time but the pure adrenaline will keep me up )

and we definitely look forward to meeting new friends and hanging out with old friends! I think we made our reservations several months ago. I know how fast they book up. I can't believe how much more you have to pay for that second night...with discounts!

About a month and a half more!!!!!!! YEA!!!!

I would've paid extra to stay at the Adams Mark myself. Luckily we booked early enough, but it's definitely the place to stay during the expo. I don't know if we spent more time in the lobby talking or at the expo talking last year. See you there! Take care,

Paul
