turtle doesn't like water?

golfdiva Jun 25, 2004 11:06 PM

We recently enclosed the pond area, so the turts can get out of the pond and wander a bit if they want to. Turns out, my snapper would rather be in the grass than in the pond!

She usually gets out of the pond in the morning, the gets back in at night. Yesterday it was unusally cool here, and she spent the whole day in the pond.

I always though snappers mainly liked to stay in the water!?

You are seeign somethign I've seen many tiem sin the past, turtles given a new home and it seems to just want to escape. You want to provide your snapper with stress free area with plenty of shade amd nmnay obsctructions in the water. Snappers don't like completely open cages.
