cillie Jun 26, 2004 01:19 AM

dandelion flowers, kale, swiss chard, beet greens, clover, pellets, bearded dragon bites from nature zone, trex vgf, occashional multi vitamins, no sugar added apple sauce, frozen thawed collard greens, mustard greens and turnip greens, carrots, tomatoes, green beans, peas. how is her diet? all these are fed to her several times a week and she gets as many as possible when ever i have em. she also gets crix dusted with vgf and multi vitamins. the multies are fed like, twice a week wile the vgf is fed every day. is this good?

I'm too lazy to plan out a huge meal liek that, so i just buy stuff from the store called 'Spring Mix'. real good stuff, my BD eats it right up.

Looking good cillie!

The only things I see that are even questionable are the carrots and tomatoes, but as long as those are in the minority compared to everything else it's great!

I think with the VGF you probably don't need to add multivitamins at all.

Squealgie is getting spoiled! (NOTHING wrong with that!)

thats good to hear from u guys she is good! the carrots and tomatoes, she only gets a few peices at a time. she dosnt really like em either. hey, my friend owns two bds and his male (sunny) is like 8 inches long and ate like three cherries, thats alot for his size so he must like em alot! are they good? cuz i wanted to try em with squealgie. and hows her setup now? as you know i made some changes cuz it was bad before. any way, she has no sand or paper, she has no substrate, she has a temporary half log, her basking wood is elevated with rep-tiles, she gets ALOT more crix, she is in a 29 gall tub, and her uvb light is on wire instead of plastic, her basking spot is around 112-115 ( my temp thing is stupid, i asked my parents for a temp gun for my b-day) her cool end is in the 70's i cant seem to get it higher any ideas? and she sleeps on her own "pillow tower" on my bed. other than the cool side temp what do you think?

kephy Jun 26, 2004 02:53 PM

Cherries are a nice treat for dragons, no problem there.

You setup is sounding very good! For the cool side temp, what I do is I have another light fixture on the cool side with a regular 60 watt lightbulb. It's just enough to keep it up a few degrees higher.

Use fresh cherries and remove the seeds if there are any. Don't use the bright red sweetened cherries (that we like to eat), too much sugar.

yeah, i know.

ok can a 25 WATT OR SOMETHING WORK?

kephy Jun 26, 2004 05:05 PM

Possibly, since your enclosure is smaller. You may just have to try a few different ones. Start small and if it's still too cool try the next higher one. I'm only using a 60 watt because it was the one I had lying around. Turned out to be perfect.
