zipper pattern on my hondos.

shannon brown Jun 26, 2004 02:25 AM

My adult tangerine albino male has a zipper pattern about a third the way down his body.IEverything I breed him to he throws some babies with zippers on them.I think I will keep back a female with the most zipper on it and breed back to him to see if it increases it.
This little one just hatched two days ago.

Hi Shannon,
Very nice looking baby there. Good luck on trying to increase that zipper pattern, it looks neat, especially on those albinos. I kindof wish i would of bred my albino female x an albino male now, just to see some albino hondos, but i used the ghost male instead for triple hets-(I wanted a pair for my self, so i thought I would just produce a clutch) and she only laid 4 eggs, 1 was a slug and 3 are good, big eggs though. I also had a BIG cal.king lay only 4 eggs-(all good) and shes big too. Oh well, thanks for the pics, look forward to seeing more baby pics from you, and look even more forward to seeing some in july-(hopefully) talk to you later man,

Very nice zipper pattern Shannon!

I've noticed that any minute aberrancies on my hondos are dominantly transfered to their offspring. I aim to breed for perfect triads but the aberrancies always seemed to be transfered with each generation...

Beautiful Albino by the way
