the only worms that can be used as a staple are silkies. wax worms are BD candy not good, mealies and supers are hard to digest.

some BD will eat in feeder tanks some wont.

you can use rep-cal pellets and/or t-rex dust with no animal protien at all. yes it has been done. hard part is getting babies to go for it.

Hey, long time no see. Sounds like they're doing well, except the new development lol. So on to your questions

1, is there any wee tricks to get wee guy to eat in rubermaid??

Some don't like feeding containers at first, but they will usually get the hang of it eventually. Try putting some substrate in it so they don't slip around on the bare plastic. They closer you can make it feel like they are in their tank the better. Also because it's such a smaller area sometimes they freak if you put too many crix in at once.

2,i know its not perfct but are mealworms ok to feed every second day or should i persevere with waxworms?????

Waxworms aren't good for them anyway, think of them like candybars, a good treat but not a staple. Mealworms also aren't that good for them. They have too much chitin in them and it's hard to digest. Silkworms are great for them if you can get your hands on them. Roaches are an option also, great food source.

3,has anyone not fed crickets and had healthy beardys..oh and they dont sell tinned crickets here or dry complete beardy chow

Yes, people have gone cricket free and still have healthy beardies. What they usually do is feed Repcal Juvie pellet (if you can't find it in your stores order it from LLL it's like $12 for a 5lb bag). Between using that and dusting the salad with Trex it is supposed to be possible to cut live food out alltogether, I haven't tried this yet. I just got my first batch of Trex in earlier this week and so far so good, but I will probably keep feeding live also. If you use the Trex Repcal combo it's important that you cut out All other supplements.

That should do it for now. Talk to ya later.
