Frasier's poop (continued) -- with pic!

iwana Jun 20, 2003 07:11 AM

Hi everyone,

I apologize for the somewhat icky nature of this post, but I'm still trying to determine if Frasier's softer poops are abnormal or if it was his prior poops (i.e. prior to proper husbandry) that were abnormal.

Below is a nice close-up of this morning's poop. Please let me know if this looks normal.

Thanks!

But... I can see the pic. How come you can't??? Here's the link:

Or maybe this will work better:

Julie, Justin and Frasier, who is happily devouring nice, big, fat juicy hornworms... *SQUISH* (if you think looking at poop with your morning coffee is exciting, you should see bug juice squirting out of your cham's mouth in every direction... mmmmmmm...)

icequeen Jun 20, 2003 08:26 AM

I'm not sure why I can't see it!
I even tried going to the link, and it says I don't have permission to view that page.

hmmmm....I dunno....

About hornworm guts squirting...just remember to keep your mouth closed if you get near the cage!!!
I learned that lesson the hard way...but at least it was only a cricket!! (minimal guts to squirt compared to a hornworm!!!!)

This time, instead of putting the codes directly in the message, I'll try putting the image URL. We really don't get why you can't see the photos! I can see them and so can my husband. Wierd... You can see all the other photos on the forum, right?

I'll remember to keep my mouth closed, thanks for the tip! LOL I really wouldn't have wanted to be standing there with the cage door open when that hornworm squirted everywhere. Ewwww... He even got some all over his mouth. *smack* *smack*

Well, this is wierd. I can see the pic in every one of my posts, my husband can see them, and evidently, taralynn was able to see them. I asked my husband about it and he mentioned that he rebooted something on that server at one point, so that might be why you and icequeen weren't able to see it. Maybe if you refresh the screen, you'll see it.

Seems like an awful lot of effort go to through, though, to look at a chameleon's mushy poop... LMAO

Julie, Justin and Frasier: "Quit talking about my poop!!!"

In case it matters, I was able to view all of the pictures you posted with no problems.

By the way, that's a fine piece of poop!

After scratching our heads for a while, my husband told me that it might be because of the recent ISP change on that site. Maybe some of the servers haven't caught on yet, so I uploaded the pic on a different site.

I know I could just use Kingsnake's gallery, but I'm a little hesitant to post a picture of Frasier's poop on there... LOL

That pretty much looks like Zoes...although he doesn't deposit that MUCH on a daily basis!

Well, that's a relief. I guess the somewhat mushy texture is normal because finally, he has a proper cage, gets fed fat, juicy bugs and has a constant water source. Yeay!!

His poops used to always be very firm-looking. That picture shows one of his more normal-looking poops, sometimes it's so mushy it looks more like a cow patty. Maybe it depends on what I fed him the day before, as charm_paradise mentioned in one of his posts.

Thanks to everyone who rated Frasier's poop! LOL

Julie, Justin and Frasier: "Can we get off the subject now? This is getting embarassing!"

taralynn_hughes Jun 20, 2003 08:52 AM

Hey...either you don't have anything to worry about, or we do. Frasier's poop looks pretty normal as compared to Roan's. Do you have live plants in your cage? The reason I ask is because when we put the first real plant in Roan's cage we caught him eating the soil on a regular basis, and this was evident in his poop. It became almost soily looking. Since then we've covered the soil with screen and things have gone back to "normal".

Hi-

The picture is not showing up, try posting it in the gallery then on the forum. What are you feeding? I see you got some new treats (hornworms). I feed my panthers on a staple diet of silkworms and the feces (better name for poop) comes out like normal, now when I feed hornworms, one or two will fill them up, the feces comes our dark green and soft. I think this is because the hornworms have allot of moisture and allot of the chow/meal in there system. I notice changes in the feces depending on what I feed. Hope this helps!

Apparently, the pic in the post entitled "Let's try this again" works, if you wanna take a look.

*snicker* "Hey, wanna go look at some chameleon poop?" Yeah, I'm a wierdo... LOL
