i have a year old dumeril's ground boa and she hasn't eaten in about five weeks. up till now she has been eating fine. i started her on frozen nice and for the past month she's been eating small frozen rats. she had been eating once a week, nothing has changed and she doesn't show signs of a shed. i know snakes can go awhile without eating but she's still young and not very big i was wondering if there was any reason for concern or if anyone had any advice. thanks

My dumeril stopped eating frozens at one point. Now I feed them pre-killed rats which she never refused. Best bet is to get pre-killed. I hated the idea of killing the rats, but its not that bad. I just place them in a pillow case and swing it to the ground and it works fine. Gotta do what ya gotta do to feed kids(snakes).

feed for their first time so its no biggy if she starts to lose weight then worry.
