Thanks Wyatt. No offense or anything, but I thought Axanthics looked much lighter than that. Did you breed her specifically thinking that she was Axanthic? I'm just wondering because we recently got a male ball in that's pretty light looking but I'm not sure what he is. He does not shed clear so he isn't a ghost. What do you think?

Wyatt sent you a great comparison pic of a normal (left) with a VPI axanthic (right).

Now, from what I hear VPI Axanthics are the best around ... barr none.

Do you see the total lack of yellow pigmentation in the VPI?

Yes ballfan, the juvenile pictures are quite obvious. It's the adult pictures that I was talking about. Sorry if I wasn't more clear.

And to answer jmartin's question, my photo is of adults.

Adult Axanthics usually look much darker than the babies. That adult looks like a nice Axanthic to me.

I meant from Wyatt. Baby Axanthics are obvious and spectacular. It's when the become adults that (IMHO) most of them look pretty much like normals.

The adult female is an Axanthic that we got from Africa a while back, she is the mother to the clutch in the below post. The other is a VPI axanthic from the egg. I will post updated pics tonight of him.

Thanks,
Wyatt
