Question about shedding?

perley13 Jun 26, 2004 08:45 PM

My male Chops just started shedding today and I was wondering if their is anything I should do to make it easier for him? New to collards and have not experienced with this yet. If there is anything special I should do please let me know.

I would just let him shed by himself, unless it looks like he is struggling or the skin is in his way. To help, you could gently mist him with water.
Hope this helped,

yeah he definitely will need extra moisture around this time. it helps them shed easier. just keep an eye on all the small spots to make sure they shed properly, like tail tip and toes. two of mine shed really fast and the other takes his time but never longer than a week
