Heres another recent purchase, not bad for a 4 yr old JCP
First of all, nice jungles as always. Now my question: Does the Aussie government allow anyone besides zoos, researchers, and Steve Irwin to collect snakes from the wild?
Jake
Yes they do, but not just anybody, you have show that you are quite the herptologist, also largely depends on what state you are in, i think it is quite easy to get a permit in NT, but in other states like Western Australia near impossible.Quite sad really, as there are still populations of rare and endangered pythons that cant be collected. To tell the truth, even most of our captive GTP's are not australian, illegal snakes that have been allowed to stay under an amnesty, even steve irwins gtps i believe or have been told have south guinea blood and i think orginally were confiscated from someone else by the national parks and wildlife department and given to his zoo.

That Cairns is a very unique animal. I like the dark gold and black. The other jungle is a nice specimen as well. Nothing beats pure locale specific Australian Morelia. Well maybe US facility reproductions with their exaggerated colors...lol
