Was just wondering how the snake is doing. The photo was quite graphic, to be honest I kinda jumped when I saw that big chunk of whatever it was.

Damon,
Hey I hatched this little guy last year. I was told by a local vet that this a hamangioma, or a blood vessel that is outside of the body. Anyway, he wanted to surgically remove it after the snake ate. He said he wanted to make sure the insides of the snake were fine, before doing anything else. Anyway during the snakes first shed, it was pulled off, luckily I was home, so I kept a paper towl against the wound for abuot an hour until the blood stopped. Well hes a year old now, eats fine, looks fine, and seems completely healthy, about 850 grams. Well I'm not sure if you were speaking of my snake or not, but I thought I'd update the story anyway.
Thanks,
Jason

He is doing good so far. He hasn't fed on his own but was easily able to assist feed him. We will have to see once he starts taking food completely on his own but I'm pretty optimistic.
Thanks,
George Knaack
