thanks for info on mealworms sean....also i ound squash at last..i found it in asda...a upermarket chain thats just been bought over by usa company walmart...im so glad i eventually found a veg you guys have told me about...i bought one and now im gonna sound silly...do i peal it and feed it raw...or do i cook it????? also measured my wee guys last night.. big one is 13 inches small one is 11 inches and there 5 months old so i must be doing something right??????? go on somebody say yes..lol

They must be doing OK inspite of you. LOL as for the squash I serve it raw and grated or cooked and cooled of and mashed either way. Have you found spaghetti squash yet? There is also acorn squash. Just teasing. Congrats on a good job.

lol..no i only found butternut...and the people next to me must have thought i was a nutcase..i was shouting to my girlfriend look look there it is...then i realised i was in a superstore.they must have thought whats going on a grown man getting excited about veg..haha..anyway i also found a leafy chinese vegtable called pak choi...it looks better tyhan the thick spring greens ive been feeding..have you ever heard of it or know if its any good for them???? its not on any beardy pages????

Well, if it's the same thing as bok choy (I'm guessing it's the same) it's fine. Maybe not great as a staple, still need those greens, but it's wonderful to add for variety now and then, my beardies love it!

Lol.. it's Bok Choy .. it's basically a chinese cabbage with about the same nutritional content. Good as a treat, but stick with the greens as a staple. Good to hear you've found squash, I just skin and chop mine up a bit (or shred) raw, cooking pulls too many nutrients out IMO. Now that the great WalMart has bought out another chain of stores (lol) you may be able to start finding some of the rarer stuff like prickley pear pads. Check out beautifuldragons.com and make a shopping list to watch for. Laters
