hi

im having a few problems with her.when i got her she was already gravid i got her around the 5th of june 04.i did i hope find out what agama she actually is which is a grays toad headed agama.
im worried because all she keeps on doing is digging she has been doing this for sometime now.not knowing alot about them im unsure how long its takes and the way she would lay them.
do i treat her simliar to a beardie?
will she lay wet or dry? as i have tried her with wet/damp and nothing has happened.

if anybody can help me i would be very greatful.

I would definitely give her a laying box, either in the enclosure, or in a rubbermaid type bin, with dampened soil/ sand.

I dont have toad heads, but I do have black agamas, and basically you keep your toad heads like beardies , as far as set up right?

Some of my collared lizards dig for about 3 days or so before laying. Your girl is almost ready if shes doing this.

I believe they (toadheads) can lay 1-6 eggs with 2 clutches during the season. She will probably just lay them and cover them.

What I do with my girls,(any of the lizards) is after I see that they have layed, I remove the mother, so they do not see me take the eggs.
Be very gentle when looking for the eggs, brush the substrate away very GENTLY !

Then I place eggs in the incubator.

Most people try and keep them in the same position they find them layed in, when they place them to incubate.
