Finaly, my easterns laid some eggs. they were in one of their pools. There is 3 of them ad they are flawless. I cheack the pools/ponds of all my turtles several times a day to make sure they did not lay eggs in them. Cause sometimes they do. They are not stressed at all because they are eating like litel pigs out of my hand. They just don't like to leave their pools. It is in the shade and it is cool. They were still slimey when I found them. I'm going to take pics of them in a few days.

CONGRATS ... I HOPED YOU GOT THEM IN TIME!!!!! how are you planning on incubating them? substrate? and temp?

I now have them in my incubator at 83 degrees. Perlite as substrate. Along with my black racer, ringneck, mud/musk turtle eggs. I'm expecting more eggs. I probably have missed a nest that the boxies have laid as it is a pretty large pen. I suck at finding nest holes. I have seen where they have been digging test hole but no eggs in the groudn that I found. The pen is absolutley escape proof for even baby turtle. I have soem landscaping timber naile to the wire so they can't get thru it. CAn't wait til they hatch.

Laying eggs in water is not a good sign, nor is it 'normal'...think about it; there would be no hope of the eggs ever hatching without intervention. Your turtles are, in effect, jettisoning eggs.
They may be doing this if the eggs aren't fertile, or if they can't find a good spot to dig a nest.
You need to provide a suitable nesting area for your turtles, preferably something sunny and free of excessive vegetation, where the ground is hard enough for the soil to hold itself together as the females dig their nest. If the ground is too soft or sandy, the nest will collapse as they dig, and they will abandon it.
It is also helpful if the nesting site is away from any hide boxes or other popular hangouts... the ladies to require some privacy for egg laying.

Maybe they are infertile? I have proper nesting sites and all. hey just don't leave the pools vry much because it is realy hot. I'll let you know if the eggs are fertile once I know it for sure. I have had mud/musj turtles do the same thing and I have hatched them.
