my male RES has REALLY long nails, and I dont really want to bring him to a vet just to get his nails done. so i was wondering if anyone had any information on trimming his nails?

theres a female in the tank as well, and i dunt want him to accidentally hurt her or himself with his realllyyy long nails.

They are supposed to have long nails, just leave them alone. They are used in their mating rituals, and it is unlikely that he will hurt anything with them

It's you lucky day!! You don't trim their nails. They are supposed to be long like that. It's how they show off and attract females.
