Hi Ya'll!
We are leaving our geckos for the first time, and will be gone for about five days. A friend of ours has offered to watch them for us, and I didn't want him to have to worry about messing with the crickets (gutloading, dusting and all that). I was wondering if it would be alright if our geckos had a mealworm only diet for five days, and would go back to eating the cricket/mealworm combo when we return. Two of the geckos are adults, and two are babies (including Miss Meanie, the naughty gecko, from my earlier posts).
By the way, I've been working with the naughty gecko every other day, and I finally got her where she'll sit on my hand for a minute or so. She goes through a couple minutes of her temper tantrum first, then she realizes she isn't getting anywhere biting me before she finally calms down. Do you think she'll ever outgrow this behavior, or am I going to have to get her some gecko prozac or what? None of my other geckos ever acted like this when they were babies.A little jumpy, but none of the screaming hissy fits like this baby!
