feeding a baby...

micah01 Jun 27, 2004 01:04 PM

Hi, I am considering getting a leopard gecko. I had one as a teenager and I would like to again.
My question is, what do you feed a baby gecko? The one I had when I was a teen was almost full grown when I purchased him and was able to eat full grown crickets and mealworms. Do I feed him mealworms until he's big enough for crickets? Also, can I feed him the jar of mealworms that are dead, or will I have I to feed him live ones?
Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
I'm going to do more research on it of course. Reading caresheets and such, I just thought I would start here. Thanks
Micah

Do NOT feed dead jarred insects. They're not healthy enough for your leo. Again, sorry for mentioning her again, had a leo that later died prolly because it would only eat canned insects and poor nutrition.

as for babies feed them baby crickets and mealworms. Feed them stuff that will fit in their mouths. Simple as that.
