Hi, I need help. I live in California and I am suffering from a lizard outbreak in my home this year. I have always had them outside in the summers but they are now all appearing inside. I keep picking them up and putting them outside before the cats make them play toys.
Yesterday I moved my loveseat and there was a mom-lizard laying eggs. There were about 6 under the couch and she was laying another one at the moment.
Questions.....
What are they coming in for and can I provide it outside?
How long does it take eggs to hatch?
How many eggs does a mom-lizard lay and would she have done it in many places?
I ask this because since I put her outside the cat is still pacing the hall sniffing and crying after a day has passed.
I like the lizards, and i know they are helping with keeping down the bugs around my house, but unfortunately I think my cat likes them a lot more. Please give advice. (Not get rid of the cat!)
