Yes they are and will turn yellow as they get a little older. They were about 2 - 6 hours old in the picture. The reason we named the picture the "Circle Of Life" is that the female a 6', 4 year old animal laid her eggs and never fed again. Such is the risks of breeding prized animals. I have force fed her twice now, but she is not going to make it more than likely.
