Red Ackies

Beautiful ackies. How do you post multiple pictures? I can't figure is out...duh.

Guys this person is a 10 year old kid... who's gone through these forums wanting an Iguana... a B&W Tegu... other kinds of monitors. And His/her parents are unwilling to help with the care of her reptile pets save perhaps for buying food. Now she already has a beardie, a garter snake and something else I can't remember. I've gone through this with the people on the Iguana Forum too. I have nothing against kids getting into the Hobby as long as their parents are prepared to help them and make sure things are done right. This one's do not seem to be willing to do so and I don't believe ANY monitor is good for a 10 yr old kid to keep by themselves.

hey, wait a second, i never wanted any other species of monitor anyway. do you think i wanted a 6 foot long nile or something?
My male red ackie, "Frederick"

and another of him soaking in his mineral bath.

and one more, this one portrays his personality better.

all your ackies are so cute!!!!!!!!
thank you,
I threw that last one of Frederick in there to remind you that these are wild animals that bite and draw and could possibly transmit salmonilla among other things. I'm not trying to be discouraging but it's true, monitors are difficult to maintain and it is best to have help if you can. Try and focus on what you have now, learn as much as you can about each one of them before moving on to something else. But pictures are indeed harmless, I love them too.
Take care,
Sera

they are truelly cute, arent they?
