he is like, 9 or 10 months old and is over 20 inches long. should i move him to hopper mice?
he is in a ten gallon cage, his substrate is walnut shells mixed with a little bark, he has a water dish, and a hide on the warm and cool end of his tank, he is fed a large fuzzy in a seperate container from the cage every 5-7 days, and his temp on the hot end is about 84F wile the cool end is in the low to mid 70's.
care is fine i wouldnt use walnut shells tough i would go with newspaper or aspen. as far as feeding goes a corn can take a mouse 1.5 times the thickest part of his body. how many fuzzies are you feeding him at a time? at twenty inches long i believe mine was taking down two hoppers. well i will have to check my books but that is what i think. it all depends on the size of the snake.
here is sit when he was 6 months old if you want a size comparison.

so can i try feeding him small adults?
You might try frozen/thawed pink rats--less fur, more easily digested. I've found that my corns grow best when switched to rats as soon as they are able. My '99 female breeder eats a f/t weanling rat without a problem. My '99 male prefers smaller rat pups, only more of them.
i may try that.
