Snake has mites/ticks help

veefour Jun 28, 2004 08:31 AM

I noticed last night that my snake has little white dots all over him and little black round like things. THe black things left blood on my finger when I sqished it so I'm assuming those are ticks, and I've heard that the mites look like little white dots.
I found some products via bigappleherp.com and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on them. I was thinking of gettng the prevent-a-mite, and the reptile relief spray.
Has anyone used these before?

I have used Provent-a-mite and feel it works quite well in preventing mites.

Reptile relief has worked well for me . You can spray in directly on the animal, as well as inside the cage. Required two treatments though. Been close to 4 months and no mites. Petsmart carries it.
