lights didn't go out

wiggleydudad Jun 28, 2004 09:28 AM

I have a timer for my beardies lights. I went camping over night and set my lights to go out, but the timer didn't work properly so the lights were on all night. What affect will this have on my poor lil dragon. I didn't want to let him sleep all day but i was thinking of letting him sleep a little in the afternoon then put his lights out early tonight. Will that be enough?

I think that would be fine. He may be a little put out by the irregular few days, but get him back on a normal schedule and it's no big deal.

I think it would only be a problem if it was off kilter for a long time. A few days is nothing he can't recover from.

First of all, find out what happen. You don't want it to continue to be a problem. One thing I have found is, if you buy the cheapest timers, your asking for trouble. (I'm not saying that's what happen, just what's happen to me).

I would just set it back to the normal schedule. You don't have to let him sleep all day to recover. You'll just be messing with his pattern or schedule even more. It's not like he'll have a hard time at work tomorrow because he'll be too tired. lol
If he is sleepy, at any time, he'll take his little naps.

Good luck & find out what was the cause of the malfunction.

Yeah I've tried a few of the timer switches and after getting problem after problem with them I finally decided to switch to digital timers which are a lot more reliable. A lot more expensive but definitely worth the money in my opinion.
