baby feeding

Tell me if i am right here: for babies their diet should be mainly crickets no bigger than the length from their eyes to their nose, feed as many as they will eat in 10-15 minutes 3x a day and mix greens in w/ it every once in a while, while they are babies. correct??

Yep, that's right.

Only thing I would add is the greens should be offered every day, right off the bat. Not every once in a while. Your baby may not eat greens right at first, but they should still be offered every day until he does.

What I would recommend is giving greens in the morning, and don't offer crickets until about noon. This will usually get the baby eating it's greens after a few weeks, if they are hungry enough in the morning they will eat.

My baby wouldn't touch greens the first few weeks. I put some on my finger one day and he got interested and took 1 bite. Then in the days following he would take a bite or two then wait for crix. As he grew over the weeks his appetite got bigger and he ate more and more greens. Now he eats all his greens in the morning and all his crickets in the afternoon. He loves his salads now.

For a great list of foods to offer your beardie (and foods to avoid) bookark this website. The nutrition content section is an awesome resource. I check it every time I think of trying anything new.

I have been offering veggies/greens in the morning with a FEW crickets. Then when I get home from work, I offer more crickets.

She isn't eating her greens just yet, I am hoping she will grab a bit of something when a cricket is on it. I am also going to start on silk worms because my girl seems nervous about having crickets running around. (I grow especially tired of picking out uneaten crickets every night.)

good luck
