majesty_cassy Jun 28, 2004 01:35 PM

I have 16 eggs in the clutch and it is day 74. I candled them and see the little dragons and they mone but they don't seem to be in a hurry to get out. How much longer before I need to start to worry ( already have)?

Thanks for any comments.

There are a lot of factors that can play a roll in the length of incubation/development. Temps, humidity, health of parents, plain old genetics, possibly elevation??, etc. As long as there are no obvious problems, just be patient. It's not uncommon to have to wait into the upper 70's.
(above is what I'm told)

(bellow is what I believe)
I think it's a conspiracy. lol If they know you are just dieing to see them, they all start tapping from the inside of the eggs, Morse Code, saying "each time that lid is opened, let's wait another day" .

Hang in there & don't give in and open the eggs!
