Hatching Aquaflame Pic and Vivarium answers

JohnStyner Jun 28, 2004 02:35 PM

I had a total of 12 Aquaflame hatchlings this year 8 girls and 4 boys plus a few extra adults from last year I don't think I'll be keeping. I have too many and I don't know if i'll incubate eggs again next year.

I might just let them lay eggs in the vivs next year and see if they hatch in there timing it so the adults are brumating at hatch time.

Here are answers to bseerys questions about my vivs:

the substate is mostly playsand from Home depot. The plants are 2 kinds of sanseveria and jade. they are either are in plastic tubs with desert potting soil or in a pocket of soil in the sand with no tub. As for crickets I leave out sticky cricket glue traps or a sunken jar trap with food in it from time to time. but usually the lizards get them all. Lizard poop is sucked up with a vacume hose.

Just out of mere curiosity of course, how many do you have left, and do you plan on finding homes for them.

I only sold one. Don't know what I'm gonna do. Might keep them up untill the males start fighting then brumate them until the herp show in hamburg PA October 16 2004 and get a table and try to sell them. Iv'e never been a vendor at a herp show before. Or I would be willing to sell the whole buch at one time wholesale.
