Glass snakes are lizards, not snakes. If it is, in fact, a Glass Lizard, it's broken tail will heal just like any other lizard that can lose its tail.

Unfortunately, glass lizards do not make very good captives. They will eat crickets, etc, but they don't calm down very much and are difficult to handle.

I would take it out somewhere near where you found it and let it go.

This one is from Kansas.

But a lizard, not a snake.

Very LONG tail, short body.

yeah he's definately a glass....snake/lizard/whatever. is it just a species of legless lizard? well her friend is keeping this snake and im trying to talk her parents into letting it go but they seem to want to let her keep it for some unknown reason....i was like hey if u let it go ill give you one of my hatchlings when they're born...(hoping that they would forget about it within the next 2 years lol)

Just wanted to reiterate...it's not a snake, it's a lizard.
