when i first got my yellow anaconda (nessy) about 3 months ago i had some problems with her and posted about it, just wanted to give everyone an update on her
she just recently shed and seems to be in great health, she's taking medium rats 1, once a week..and her temperment is even getting much better (thank god) i'll try and post some pics of her soon
just wanted to give an update, i was fearing i got in a little over my head when i got her but now that i've got alot more info and a little experience under my belt i have absolutley no intent of getting rid of her, she's here to stay

infact i've been thinking of getting a male..i think i'm an addict

Sounds like she's getting used to you. Some take longer than others. Great name. I'd like to see some pix of her.

Here's a new one of my adult male. He usually gets curious when the flash starts going off. What a Ham.

In captivity, you're keeping them in a tiny environment, compared to their range in the wild. Problems which would be insignificant to wild animals can become magnified enormously in a cage. Disease, behavioral, and environmental pressure can cause disasters in a cage that would not happen in nature. Also, I believe that ANY animal which eats meat is a potential cannibal. When you house them together, you can create a disaster by putting the wrong animal in the mix or, by losing your focus for as little as a day, at the wrong time. That is why, for most people, the best practice is to keep them individually. That way you can enjoy them with less risk to the animals.
