I am moving to Toronto next week for school. My question is what is the best way to move him up without stressing him too much ? It is close to a 2 hour drive. I took him to a friend's once and the five minutes he was in the truck he tried to escape the box he was in. He is not a nervous turtle. But other then that, and the ride from the pet store a long time ago, I have never moved him around. Should he be able to see ? or be in a dark box ? Thanks for any input.

Hello Sharie:
Probably the best way to move him is to put him in a snake bag (any pillow case will do) and then place the bag in a box lined with paper. They usually will be a little quieter if they can't view the world around them. Two hours is a very short trip indeed and the turtle should be fine. Just don't leave it in a hot car or place the box in direct sunlight.
Good Luck!!!

As Spawn mentioned a pillow case is fine or even just a dark box where he could settle down. For two hours moisture is certainly not an issue. A two hour trip will be nothing for him so don't worry.
