If the forest chameleon you are referring to is scientifccaly known as "Corytophanes cristatus", then it isn't a chameleon at all. it is an entirely different family or order all toghter. The aforementioned animal is often referred to as the forest chameleon, thus i can understand the confusion. I think you should post your question on the general lizard forum. Below is teh link to a pciture of the animal, just to make sure that is what you have.

how come i cant find any information on this "Corytophanes cristatus"

do a search on yahoo or google. I am sure you'd get tons of infomation on them. But as for breeding info it might be scarce, because "forest chameleons" arent that popular as pets. Heck, who knows, u might even be a pioneer in breeding them if you do.

Okay this is what I can tell you. Forest Chameleons are more commonly know as Helmeted Iguanas. This will help you in your search for info on them. There is not much info to be found. If this is a first lizard for you or you don't have much experience then I would not suggest it. I posted a pic of my first female that I got six years ago under the name chameleon.

I have from a reliable source that all helmeted iguanas are WC. They have never been CB. This is why so many of them die within the first couple months. Me having one for six years is a rarity and several people have told me so.

They have odd behavior, they will seriously sit in the same spot for days. I house mine seperatly. The older one will look like she is on deaths door one day and have major attitude the next. Mine won't eat crickets and the older one will only eat superworms.

If you have any other questions that I might be able to help you with feel free to ask.
