tegu had an accident....?

xruthlessx76 Jun 29, 2004 03:39 PM

my tegu was sitting on my bed and left a puddle. in the middle was an orange almost yolk looking thing with white stuff in/around it and then a long white strip of something that looked like it might be part of an egg shell.
normal or egg? up until this point i thought it was a male, he has the bb like things on each side of the base of his tail.
thanks

Probably just urates (dried uric acid I think) Many reptiles excreet their urine in a semi soild state (the white stuff). Probably nothing to worry about. Of course a vet bill is worth every penny if you think it is more than that, just for the peace of mind. Best of luck!

The different colors probably reflect something in it's diet or level of hydration/dehydration.
