I got new aspen that is dust free (I swear no dust), but reptibark is fine, just spray it 2 or 3x's per week, and the dust problem will be eliminated.
I would be very interested in hearing from anybody who has had a problem with impaction from aspen bedding also.
Thanks

Yeah, you always hear 'don't feed on it', but never heard of anyone actually having an impaction problem.

I am so sick and tired of reading post that say don't feed on aspen. I want to here from the ones that can truly say, I have had a snake impact on aspen, not just don't feed on or Iv'e heard crap. Again I, nor anybody I know that use aspen have NEVER had a animal impact. The same for pine bedding. Iv'e used it in the past, again NEVER had a problem.
Sorry I didn't fully answer your question. Aspen vs repibark, Iv'e said my feelings on aspen. As far as the reptibark, Iv'e never have used it, talked to people that have and all seem very happy with it. Cost has always been the issue with me. That can add up when you have many animals. On another note, I don't think snakes could burrow under the bark as they could with the aspen, which most of mine love to do.
Yeah, I think that's just one of those things that someone years ago said and for some reason it's been passed as gospel. That's why I often question things I read in caresheets, etc.
