I just bought two baby giant pixies from my local herp shop and I have to say I enjoy these much better overall than my pacman. I went and bought one the morning he recieved them in and liked it so much that I went back and bought his other one that night. I still love my pacman but I just like thier overall personality and aggresiveness better. I mean as soon as you throw crickest in their enclosure, these guys are chasing them all around the cage and hunting them down, and even then, this was right after I had just put them in thier new enclosure. It tokk my pacman about a week before he even thought about eating. I was highly suprised being used to the inactiveness of my pacman. I can see why it has been suggested that these need much bigger cages than pacmans. For those that have both, which do you guys prefer?

Definitely my pyxicephalus. So much personality. And I just find them so fascinating overall. Not that I don't like Ceratophrys. After all, they were my first exotic frog. But those african bulls...They are just something else. Good luck with your young'uns. Andy

I like the pixies better, no thought about it. More active, better personality, bigger, more aggressive (which may or may not be a good thing), easier to take care of (IMO) and funner to watch. They aren't quit as colorful as ceratophrys, especially as adults, but they are still cool looking. There's nothing quite like them!

My pixies are aggressive in the feeding aspect but they havent been bad with me yet. They havent tried to bite me once yet. I just like how they have a more active personality to them.
