They replaced C.I.T.E.S with D.U.C.T.A.P.E

Convention International Treaties Endangered Species (aka RED TAPE) was effectively replaced by Duct-tape!
Yes it happened throughout North America without anyone noticing, even here in Canada goannas are all over now, and an amazing diversity of species to!
Recently I was informed by someone who wishes to remain anonymous, that red tape is now a thing of the past, no more hassle with the governments and bureaucrats, at least not to get them in! However an export permit is only a phone call away thanks to the Canadian government’s amazing ethics, doesn’t matter how they come in as long as they know how they go out, WOW speechless!
CITES was funded to protect the worlds wild life against abusive collecting for skin and commerce, they also work to preserve habitat, I can understand that poverty can affect on over collecting wild population, however I cant understand why westerners who’d deliberately and wrongfully abuse this organism who’s noble role is to preserve endangered species.
Aim quit familiar with the red tape system of importation, however just out of curiosity how those duck tape system works? So I ask the experts! Do you need any special skills? Lets say if you have sensitive skin like myself do you need some kind buffer like antiperspirant or baby powder, or if your more the desert rat type do you need to shave? Do you slowly pull the tape or whack it rapidly? Is it always painful or just at first? Can custom officers spot you because of tape marks? Even a week later?
Any idea guys? Shod I use a maxi pad to keep an acceptable moisture level? (Long trips)

I really do not know or understand what your talking about, but again, it sure is amusing.

I think CITIES, quickly seperates itself from captive hatched animals. For instance, CITIES 1, bred out of country of origin, lowers to CITIES 2. CITIES 2 bred out of country of origin, lowers to something like, species of no concern. Then again, It could have changed, as I have not looked at it for a very long time.

In the begining of the Clinton admin, they allowed export permits for many of these monitors, including Kimberlys. But as time way by, they stopped allowing that. Then the day the Bush admim took over, they stopped enforcing all sorts of things they did in the past. They use to inspect all import shipments, now they don't(so I am told)

In the Clinton admin, they confiscated all shipments with such things as Greys, and Cumingis, and of course all ozzie reptiles(papers or not), now it seems all that has gone by the wayside. They have allowed all that and more. I do wonder what the next Admin will bring.

You must consider, its the people doing the enforcing(admins) and not the laws or ordinances.

I am curious, in the recent past, your posts have been nice, and the spelling and use of words, were very normal and done well, now all of a sudden, you have a strong accent and it is expressed in your spelling and context. I do understand about the spelling, as I am very poor at that. Even at times I substitute other similar words, got me, must have been something I ate when I was little.

Oh, by the way, you may be friends with that blain fella, could you tell him, I do not hate or dislike him. I find him super intertaining and very brillant. In the past, I thought his choice of subjects caused the death and harm to many captive montiors.(so I was mad)But I was wrong. It caused the keepers to be confused and that caused harm to the captives. But as time went by, the keepers stayed confused.(It really was their fault) I do not think it was his fault, they were willing to believe anything and not think for themselves. All and all, I now think, the outcome would be the same. It did not matter what he said, or what I said, they still allowed the monitors to fail. (something they ate when they were little) The outcome, was the same.

All and all, keeping monitors is making decisions and thinking for yourself. For instance, whether you use a paper towel, or a maxi pad, or a doorknob screwed to the lid, with little holes drilled in the top. Or a sponge, or cloth towl, or a mini pad, or diaper, or a hanky, or an inch of water on the bottom or float them. or hang them, or sit them, or in bunches or singly, its all the same. You still have to make a decision to use it and how and when to use it. All I can say is, thank god, I am lefthanded, artistic and dumb, and lucky, as I just set them up and they hatch. Cheers FR

(I really do not know or understand what your talking about, but again, it sure is amusing.)
It’s supposed to be amusing otherwise these forums would be boring, anyone who took this post seriously needs some time off.

I know sometimes I may be read as a different person, I guess it depends on my mood, this time I was angry with you and words just don’t come out well, you sure know how to get to me! ?? For you, if you know how to jump start me, why do you wait that aim sleeping to do it, really I was enjoying some quiet times these days.

Frank just between you and me! aim disgusted with many keepers, I may not be the best keeper out there, but aim driven by passion and I try to excel every day, aim afraid that you are right, you can tell peoples how to and even show them how to keep there monitors, only to learn a month later that the monitor is failing, but I ask you how those this surprise you?
when guys like Horn, Bernd, and many more all contradict themselves about husbandry, most of them are set in there old ways and refuse to improve or try different, hec you know this as theirs always someone attacking you from all angles.
Also you should know that its real easy for me to point a new varanophils in your direction, I only need to black list them to do so.
Trust me it works fine!
in closing I no longer wish to entertain these forums, not that I don’t like to, Iv always tot it was good to keep the interest up, its just that I don’t have the energy anymore, perhaps in a year or 2 meanwhile pleas don’t push my buttons.
Sincerely yours
S.Blain

When you isolate the paragraphs, you can either color the paragraphs or color your comments or both, like this:

I said, I really do not know or understand what your talking about, but again, it sure is amusing.

you said, It’s supposed to be amusing otherwise these forums would be boring, anyone who took this post seriously needs some time off.

Doing that makes it far easier to understand. Also, its makes it easier to twist and turn each paragraph seperate for the context of the entire post. I think, but I am only a desert rat, that each paragraph has a stand alone meaning and is also part of the entire post. But what do I know????

What buttons, by the way, I did not think you twisted my post at all. Cheers FR
