when do snakes hatch

janome Jun 30, 2004 06:41 AM

Is there a certain time of year for snakes to hatch? I have a 5 foot jungle carpet python. Bought her last year in November and was told she was a yearling then. So I guess she was hatched in 2002 sometime. I was wondering when JCP's usally hatch to get a more accurate year/month of her age.
There are LOTS of posts on here about new baby snakes. So is this time of year considered 'snake season?

Anywhere from May-July is considered normal but there in captivity they can be bred at anytime as long as the temps and everything are right, This basically is snake season Summer is Hatching for most snakes, and if not summer then early fall, Could just go back and ask the vendoer when they hatch out there JCP's.

I didn't buy her from a vendor. I bought her from a pet fish/reptile store. That's why I was wondering when they usually hatch. Thanks for reply.
