What the heck is this stuff???

Well neither one of my eggs turned out. The first one acted like it was going to hatch, but there was just mush inside it. I didnt open it my husband did, so I dont know what it looked like. All he said was really gross. The other one started to mold and collapse so we opened it last night. All that came out was a clomp of yellow stuff. It was really gross. I was just wondering what this stuff is. Just goo? Thanks....

Its probably the yolk...all eggs come with a yolk...its what usually nourishes the embryo if there is one... and usually when they hatch they absorb that yolk into their bodies....Though I just had an instance where that wasn't exactly true... but what you're describing is most probably the yolk.
