Hey All -
I'd like to hear your recommendations for live plants that are safe, cheap, and do well with indirect sunlight (indoors). Also, what are the unsafe plants? Thanks!

Just about anything without spikes or needles is safe, water dragons don't usually eat the leaves. I used ficus a lot, and a small palm tree, although that died eventually. I forget to water my plants so they don't tend to live very long
Also, pothos are good.

I agree, they don't eat them, and even if they did it would be hard to say whats bad and whats not. I have seen Iguana's eat a few different plants that are considered poisonous, or noxious to humans and they thrived on them. I am not aware of any real studies on the subject. I keep a variety of plants with my WD's and have never had a problem.
Yeah, you're dragon should be okay with most plants. But chances are he'll kill them eventually. With my ficus in my tank, it wasnt doing all that great for a few reasons im sure.
1. because the Powersun bulb may have been too much for it.
2. He tramples all over them, and the branches take damage.
So we took the tree out, and its grown a lot better out of the tank, and its getting very big, eventually It iwll be big enough to serve as a area to have the dragon outside of his tank. Its up to you.
