Please tell me if opening his mouth and turning a darker color. I know a darker color means insecure. Is this motion showing insecurity or something else. Please post back when ever you a chance.

If he's doing this at you, he's being defensive and trying to bluff you. Darker color is a sign of fear/aggression type stress. Chams turn dark when they are cold too, but this sounds more like a response to you.
