Yipeeeee! I got one of those purple looking female Peanut Butters hatch out today...*PICS*

The people who have helped me try and determine what is going on with this gene say that the lighter (purple) females are lower on testosterone and therefore express the Peanut Butter gene differently. I had three of these hatch last yr and sold all but one. I did not think these might be an actual PB.

Today I had another pop out from a clutch of Peanut Butters. This is a female. It looks quite different from the normals. At this time I am waiting for the rest of the clutch to hatch to show comparison pics. I just coudn't wait to post this one right away.

Beautiful animal! Congratulations! You have to watch this variation -- they tend to stick to the roof of the cage. =)
