Where do Cresteds store fat?

Look at this fat ole girl. She is just covered in fat folds. So to answer the question, they seem to hold their fat around the midsection (just like us, huh)!

i wouldnt rule out storage in the tail. it might not be as much, but tails are often used for extra energy storage. the babies i have bought in the past have had pretty thin tails until ive fattened em up after a few weeks. but yea, they do get pretty bulky around the midsection. when they eat like pigs they blow up like balloons!
