here's the generic email I've been sending around. It's very important that everyone, from new york or not, does their part to ensure that this doesn't go through.

This bill, if set into place, will make it illegal for people in new york state to own boids, monitors, and other reptiles. If this bill goes through, other states will follow, and that is something that the reptile industry does not need.

I did my part from Florida (sent an email). Hope enough people make a stand that the legislature of NY rethinks how they are doing this. Not all animals should be lumped under this ban.

I have sent this info to all of my fellow herpers and written the letters. Everyone please do your part....stand up and be counted. Do not let these uninformed, self absorbed "lawmakers" make these irrational decisions that will drastically affect us all!
Let them know that we are educated, responsible intellects that take great pride in our hobby! In the past there have been a very select few individuals that have made us all look bad in the eyes of the average "Joe Public"!
Make the calls and send the letters and make the difference!!!
Only we can stand up for what we believe!!
