Im paying on using sand for my leo tank. the sand that i have is ZooMed Repti Sand it says its pure, very fine quartz desert sand is the ideal substrate for a variety of desert dwelling reptiles. what do u think should i use this sand or has some one used it and had problems with it, and if so what sand should i use.

is it vita sand? if so use it, i do. just dont make it more then 1/2" deep. heres a pic of my set up. its half tile and half vita sand. if you make sure hes not eating, and licking it then use it. be very cautious that hes not eating large amounts. put in a dish of calcium so he doesnt need to lick the sand for calcium. im sure you get how much im stressing that you need to watch what he does. good luck

or you could use tile.

I'm really advocating tile... they should be paying me royalties for this :P

Nice cage by the way Nevin did you make it yourself?
