Breeding R. auriculatus

LarryDLockard Jun 30, 2004 05:18 PM

I was wondering if there is an ideal weight to breed R. auriculatus,
I know that you should wait 12-18mos of age, or even 2 years. But like
Cresteds, is there also a weight range that is ideal. THanks

I don't know where you get the 12-18 months information from, but it is wieght that will be the determining factor to decide when to breed. I don't even consider age when placing together groups of rhacs or all lizards I breed for that matter. That being said, 35 grams is a weight that I go by. In my case that generally takes 10-12 months.
