I was jus wandering where does a microchip go in a tortoise or turtle.Would the fore-foot be a good area??

Thanks for the reply but does microchips realy only last 10 years
So wat happens to the chips after 10 years does the glass capsule crack or ????

I don't know where you got the info that microchips only last 10 years. Contact AVID for info.
Microchips are placed SQ along the inside of the plastron. They are also sometimes placed in the fore-arm.
I'd recommend having your veterinarian place the microchip even if your able to give needles. Improper positioning may lead to the chip migrating or even falling out.
If you are a breeder or otherwise dealing with lots of microchips your veterinarian should be able to teach you this technique
