New trio with serious potential....

mdc Jun 30, 2004 11:11 PM

I just got this 1.2 trio in today and I couldn't be happier with them. They were produced in '03 from a pure black central american female and a dh ghost "boo" line male. The mother is thought to be a type 2 anery, but is not proven. However, after seeing pics of her I will be shocked if these don't turn out to be het for type 2 ghosts. I just snapped this quick pic, but I'll get better ones once they settle in and once the dark one sheds out. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy the pic.

real nice i saw those up for sale but when and if they prove out wont it be confuseing they could either be type 1 ghost or type 2 ghost. i would imagine that to be a nightmare imagine you grow up a ghost and then go to breed it to either a anery or a unrelated het ghost and produce no ghost? which seeing as the 2 types of aneries are involved you really wouldnt know which ghost is which. catch my drift?

Yes, it will be somewhat confusing, however I believe that the type 2 ghosts will look different than the type 1 ghosts. Also, these are only 50% het type 1 anery, so I plan on breeding the male to a type 1 anery first. If no anerys are produced, I will then breed him to his sisters. If ghosts pop out, then I'll know that they are type 2 ghosts.
Also, I'm hoping that the mother of these will be proven out in the next couple of years. If she is, then these will be 100% hets for type 2.
Either way, for the price, I just couldn't pass them up. It's worth the work to prove them out.

Thanks for the comment,
Matt
